Vision for a new transport interchange and archaeo-park on Istanbul’s Historic Peninsula. A Byzantine port was discovered as part of construction work for the new Marmaray metro line which connects Europe to Asia by means of the world’s deepest rail tunnel under the Bosporus. The approach was to breathe new life into the peninsula by proposing a new mix use city quarter at Yenikapi which capitalises on the investment made in this new piece of infrastructure.
