Al Jeeza Airport City, Jordan

Masterplan 30km to the south of Amman, Jordan, near the international airport, consisting of a new community of 100,000 people and a new town centre. The design responds to the desert environment by introducing a network of shaded streets, lanes and outdoor spaces. Seasonal watercourses are integrated with the urban grid to provide natural cooling and recreational space. Al Jeeza is inspired by the qualities that make the best towns and cities in the Middle East some of the best places in the world.
